BUILDING SAFETY

Mandatory occurrence reporting

Structural and fire safety occurrences are logged with the immediate actions taken, triaged, and tracked through submission to the Building Safety Regulator.

Triage decides whether something is a safety occurrence before anything goes to the Regulator. Marking a report as submitted starts the ten day full report clock with a countdown column and notifications that escalate at three days, one day and overdue. Closure is guarded, statutory records are retained indefinitely, and the reporting system itself is reviewed periodically under Regulation 6 with each review logged per building.
